Changing the bank account used for transfers

You can change the bank account on file for an active fundraiser at any time. You can edit the bank details by verifying quickly through your bank provider or manually enter bank details.

We work with multiple payment processors, such as Stripe and Adyen, to send funds. You'll know which processor you're connected to because their name will appear when you set up transfers.

If your payment processor is Adyen

When your funds are sent through Adyen, editing the bank information will affect all fundraisers in your GoFundMe account. If you'd like for funds on different fundraisers to go to different accounts, you'll need to add a beneficiary.

To edit bank details through your bank provider:

1. Select the fundraiser you'd like to update bank information on, then click "Transfers"
2. Select "Edit" under your bank account on file, continue to our payment partner's secure portal
3. Under "Bank Details", select the bank currently on file, and choose "Delete" from the drop-down menu
4. Click under "Bank Details" again to add new information, then select "Verify quickly with a provider" and then "Next"
5. Either choose your bank from the list or search for your bank in the search bar
6. Continue to follow prompts to sign into your online banking portal and select the account you'd like to add
7. Once you've selected the desired account, you can return to GoFundMe

To edit bank details by manually entering your information:

1. Select the fundraiser you'd like to update bank information on, then click "Transfers"
2. Select "Edit" under your bank account on file, continue to our payment partner's secure portal
3. Under "Bank Details", select the bank currently on file, then choose "View details"
4. Select "Edit" in the bottom, right corner and then choose "Manual Entry"
5. Make edits to your account and routing number on file, and be sure to "Save"
6. Once you've added the desired bank account, you can return to GoFundMe

If your payment processor is Stripe

To edit bank details through your bank provider:

1. Select the fundraiser you'd like to update bank information on, then click "Transfers"
2. Select "Edit" under the bank account on file
3. Choose the new bank portal you'd like to log into
4. Continue to follow prompts for logging into your bank's online portal
5. Once the new account is linked, you'll be automatically redirected back to your GoFundMe account

To edit bank details by manually entering your information:

1. Select the fundraiser you'd like to update bank information on, then click "Transfers"
2. Select "Edit" under the bank account on file
3. Select "Add your bank details manually instead"
4. Double check your bank information and then enter your account and routing number or IBAN
5. Confirm your information on the next page and click "Submit"
6. So long as the information is correct, you'll then be returned to your GoFundMe account
